About Richmond SHRM Annual Memberships

There are two ways to be a Richmond SHRM member. Dual Membership - If you are a member of National SHRM, you can become a member of Richmond SHRM. Local Membership - You can be a member of Richmond SHRM without being a National SHRM member.

Professional

If you’re employed by a company as an HR professional performing the duties of the HR profession for that company's employees, then you’re a Professional Member. Dues are $59 for Dual Membership and $129 for Local Membership. Benefits include discounts on the cost of all programs and events, leadership and networking opportunities, best practice and resource sharing, and the opportunity to take your career and profession to the next level.

Resource Partner

If you are a provider of products or services then you’re a Resource Partner. Dues are $249. Benefits include a listing in the Online Resource Directory valued at $249, discounts on the cost of all programs and events, leadership and networking opportunities, best practice and resource sharing, and the opportunity to take your organization and career to the next level.*

Student

If you’re currently enrolled in 6 hours or more per semester at a university/college then you’re eligible to be a Student Member. Dues are $15 for Dual Membership and $20 for Local Membership. Student members may not vote or hold office in the Chapter. Benefits include discounts on the cost of all programs and events that you participate in, and leadership and networking opportunities.

Transitioning

If you’re an Active SHRM member currently unemployed, selecting this option affirms that you are unemployed and applying as a Transitioning member. This member type is valid for one year. Dues are $0. Full member benefits are included.

Retired

If you are a professional Richmond SHRM member retired from active full-time employment, you’re eligible for Retired Membership. Annual dues are $15 for Dual Membership and $20 for Local Membership. These members do not have voting rights and may not hold chapter office, but do have access to all Richmond SHRM member benefits, discounts and offerings. Friend

If you aren’t sure about joining Richmond SHRM yet, you can join as a Friend. You will be able to register for events at the non-member rate. No other member benefits are included.

Richmond SHRM membership is set to automatically renew. Richmond SHRM’s automatic renewal charges your credit card annually for the amount of your membership dues. You will be notified by email when this charge is processed. Should you prefer not to participate in automatic billing, you may either delete the open invoice in the Membership area of your profile, or you may email tgoldsmith-ray@richmondshrm.org with your preference after you have finished registration.

There shall be no solicitation, either verbally, through printed material, or digitally during or after Richmond SHRM meetings or social events except for the sponsor(s) of the event. No person may use the Richmond SHRM Membership Directory for purposes of solicitation or providing information about their organization. Anyone determined to be soliciting will be subject to administrative action up to and including expulsion from membership without a refund of dues.
