The Alcott HR Stewardship Award is named in honor of Jeannie Alcott, who served Richmond SHRM in many capacities and retired as Executive Director of Richmond SHRM at the end of 2020. She consistently displayed an outstanding example of true stewardship, reflecting the very best in HR leadership within Richmond SHRM as well as in the community.

Eligibility Requirements

Current member of Richmond SHRM
At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the HR profession or a similar/related area.

Attributes of our Alcott HR Stewardship Award recipient will include one or more of the following:

Significant professional contributions made to the HR Management profession by contributing their expertise to organizations, applying creative management concepts to improve performance, and/or promoting the value of Human Resources Management.
Functioning as a highly effective and valued teammate, colleague, partner, or advocate within an organization, a business, or in the community. The individual is collaborative and shares knowledge, expertise, and information generously.
Leads with integrity and purpose, helping others to anticipate change, envision the future, and meet transformational challenges.
