Summary
The conversation around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives has been shaped by shifting political attitudes and regulatory changes. Against this backdrop, worries about facing “reverse” discrimination claims has increased, prompting organization to reconsider their DEI programs.
This mock trial will explore the legal issues surrounding a claim of “reverse” discrimination in the workplace. The case involves a plaintiff—a white male employee—who alleges he was not given the same opportunities for advancement as Black and female employees, and eventually let go, because of his employer's DEI program.
Join Woods Rogers Labor & Employment attorneys as they present a mock trial based on real discrimination cases. Through testimony and arguments, you will gain a better understanding of equal protection principles, employment law, and the challenges of balancing DEI initiatives with nondiscrimination protections.
