| | Lifelong learning is important for leaders! Obtaining HR Certification credentials shows employers that the HR Professional has taken steps to remain up to date in the human resources field and is preparing for the demands of tomorrow's workplace.
Certification Committee Involvement:
Certification Committee Volunteers will report directly to the Richmond SHRM Board Director of Professional Development and Certification.
Committee Members will support the efforts of chapter members who wish to become certified. This could include, but is not limited to, publicizing benefits of certification, keeping up to date on various testing windows, and sharing his/her certification journey with interested members.
Committee members will lead SHRM Certification Study Groups twice a year - usually February through April (in preparation for the Spring/Summer testing window) and September through November (in preparation for the Winter testing window).
