Awards Committee Involvement: 

Awards Committee Volunteers will report to the Richmond SHRM Board Director of RVA Leadership and Innovation. 

The Committee is responsible for promoting the nomination process, reviewing applications, and selecting winners for both the Rising Star Award and the Alcott HR Stewardship Award.

The Rising Star Award is presented annually to an individual who is relatively new to the HR profession – and yet, they have shown themselves to be innovative, impactful, and effective in their work and contributions. Recipients are typically announced in the Spring.

The Alcott HR Stewardship Award is presented annually to a Senior Level HR Professional who has reflected the very best in HR Leadership. Alcott HR Stewardship Award recipients are typically announced during the Strategic Leadership Conference in the Fall.
