career?  At this session we will welcome a panel of representatives from these groups:

  • International Public Management Association for HR (IPMA-HR)
  • Virginia Society for Healthcare HR Administration (VASHHRA)

Member Spotlight:  Meet Suzanne Etherington

Suzanne Etherington, Richmond SHRM Board Member
Her Day Job:  Principal (and Client Manager) with Mercer

Committee on Which She Volunteers:  Currently VP of Member Engagement. Previously on the Sterling Awards and the Welcome/Registration committees.

Her Favorite Thing About Volunteering: 
The best thing is working with amazing, talented local HR professionals who are passionate about their work. We have an enormous amount of creativity and HR brilliance right here in Richmond, VA, and volunteering with Richmond SHRM is a way to immerse yourself in it.

Best Movie She's Seen Recently:  Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Favorite Richmond Restaurant: 
There are too many to count: Can Can, Max’s on Broad, The Boathouse, Bookbinders – they’re all great!

Her Interests Outside of Work:  Cheering on my kids at soccer, martial arts, and horseback riding; singing and attending musicals; playing the piano; boating; skiing; running; biking; cooking; and good wine.  Anything outdoors!
