Only 29% of Americans ages 16 to 64 with a disability were employed as of June 2018, compared with 75% of those without a disability. This workshop will explore the myriad of work incentives available to individuals with disabilities and to companies who want to hire/retain larger numbers of this workforce segment. We will review how individuals and employers can work together to increase employment opportunities and compensation without putting valuable government benefits at risk.

Gib Sloan, RICP, AIF
Financial Advisor, Virginia Asset Management

With over 20 years in the financial services industry, Gib brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his clients. From wealth management to retirement planning to special care planning, he has the knowledge to educate his clients, while helping to guide them through various life stages.

Gib earned his degree from North Carolina State University and has completed industry related coursework through the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as State Chair of the Virginia Association of Community Services Board. Previously Gib served for 9 years on the Chesterfield County Community Services Board, where he was Chair for 2 years. He is also the Bermuda District Representative on the Chesterfield County Planning Commission.

Gib is a Financial Advisor with Virginia Asset Management in Midlothian and is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisory Representative with Securian Financial Services, Inc. Gib resides in Chesterfield with his wife and two children.
