Presenter

Chris Leahy
Leahy Consulting Services

Chris Leahy has been developing innovative and successful employee benefit programs for over 20 years. His clients value his independent consultative approach, attention to detail and technical depth. The foundation of his expertise in the design, funding, implementation, communication and administration of health & welfare programs stems from his 14 years with a national insurance carrier. He spent his first three years in underwriting, where he led a project team to develop and implement nationally the underwriting process for experience-rated, managed care clients. After less than two years as an account manager, Chris became an account executive, during which time he wrote over $400 million in business, retaining greater than 97% of it. Of the many awards he received during his 14 year tenure, Mr. Leahy values most being recognized by the company with its national award for leadership, dedication and service.

In 2002, Chris moved to a regional consulting and brokerage operation to pursue his desire to partner more directly with clients to craft balanced solutions to meet their employee benefits needs. He also brought this philosophy to the management of the firm through his role as a Partner and his participation on the firm’s marketing committee, health & welfare committee, health care data mining/technology evaluation group and the project team for consumer directed health.

Chris possesses great insight into the many varied and demanding employee benefit issues facing companies today because he has spent nearly two decades working hand-in-hand with employers to help solve these issues.
