If you are an HR professional who is unemployed or just seeking to develop your career, join the PACE Group, the chapter's networking group for individuals who are seeking new opportunities or advancement. You do not have to be a SHRM member however membership is encouraged and a great opportunity for networking! There are many ways to get involved including:
PACE Job Teams:
This group is based on the Lee Hecht Harrison Job Search Work Team model. The team is designed to support the job seeker through peer networking and increased productivity in the job search. Come join us to help increase your productivity and job search success! We meet every other week at the Lee Hecht Harrison office's large conference room.
Lunch and Learn:
Various career development topics are being held as teleconference/webinar meetings. The topics vary and are held during the lunch hour. You must register* online to receive dial in information.
Email Distribution List:
We mostly share job leads but sometimes helpful tips and resources as well. The email comes from me but there is always another contact for the posting. If you ever want to share something with the group, you can send it to me. (I email this using BCC because there are always a few that are currently working and trying to stay anonymous.)
Our networking list is for individuals that want to share contact information for networking. Some on the list might be in job search but some have offered to be resources to the group and are not job searching.
*You can find the Wednesday meeting on the calendar at the Richmond SHRM site at (www.richmondshrm.org). Please register for all of these meetings. It is important to register just in case a time or location changes or to share dial in information.
